Links are on the newspage... AT has a good review also.

Anyone have any clues as to when this will become retail? Also, when is ATI supposed to release their new card?

I really like HardOCP's review, shows what you actually are getting for your extra cash, instead of just numbers.

I dont think this card could power dual 21"s and game at a decent rate. So the question is moot. But yes I could afford dual used 15" no name monitors if i saved up for a few months.
I was thinking dual 17"s would be nice and fast enough to game with if it was supported. Or another 18" to match the one currently have.
Why viet? Are you mad your card is now 2nd fiddle... chopped liver... yesterdays news?

From Guru3d... http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/128/4/
480 Watt Power Supply Recommended
Now it's time to scare you a little. For GeForce 6800-based graphics cards, NVIDIA recommended us reviewers a power supply with a rating of 480W or higher. GeForce 6800 Ultra boards will have two standard disk drive power plugs on the back end of the card. You must attach two independent (not shared or split with a y-cable) hard disk drive power dongles from the system’s power supply to these plugs.
DAYUUUM!!!! I guess I'm glad that I invested in that Antec TruePower 550 power supply back in the day. :wow:

People think I am f'ing nuts at work. I have 2 Dell 17" panels on separate computers + my 14.1" notebook screen. God bless 3 screens when doing big spreadsheets, and massive queries.

I wonder about noise. I only read a couple of the reviews, but they didn't mention the noise. Two power connectors on different rails!! It must have to dissipate a mountain of heat!

THe screeen saver needs to support it.
I found a good matrix one that supports dual monitors, thus I have it going on 3 monitors at work.

Seriously, whos gonna be the 1st here to get the card when it hits? Im hoping G|A at least gets one to review.... $500 is way too much IMO, but I've done bad things before... I'll have to get another LCD and give up some of the summer toys Im planning on getting. I dont think I can do it. I'll have to upgrade the whole system and make impressive benchies and that's just not worth it. Im very impressed so far. No problems powering 1600x1200 LCD with all the candy turned on. ATI will be bringing some heat of their own but that may be months off.
Which one of you is gonna get one for Team Apex?
Ip? Df? Cf? Lk? A? BV? Bires?
Any takers?

I see that this is a 256mb card and they already have plans for a 512mb card in the next several months- talk about a powerful card! When will ATI respond and with what? Of course prices are crazy too on these! If only I had enough for that and an 80 inch plasma or LCD and....

Not here.
I just upgraded to my R9800P, and I'm more than happy with it. Some of the reviews make me a little wary. Things I've noticed:
1. The 6800 has a clock-adjusted cooling fan. When the 6800 is running at full speed, the fan has been described (by fanboys) as a "bit loud".
2. Some of the reviewers are saying that there will be a 8-pipe or 12-pipe version to compete at the $200 level. When these boards hit this summer, that's what a 9800XT will sell for-will the 6800 be able to compete with a R9800XT using only half of the 6800's memory/texture pipelines?
I'll keep reading reviews, but I am always skeptical of early tech demos and reviews that come out right after NDAs.
I figure LPMiller or Leon will get a review board. If not...NVIDIA is as lame as the ATI fanboys say they are.
