This Yahoo! News article (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=571&ncid=751&e=1&u=/nm/20040414/hl_nm//health_drinkers_dc) claims that having 100 drinks a month may give you brain damage.

I don't know about you guys, but I average around a case a week and I don't consider that heavy drinking. I know this is another medical survey that probably doesn't mean much, but I was just curious what you guys thought on the matter.

I thought I had read research that said having two drinks a day was good for you. According to this article having aproximately 3 drinks a day will give you brain damage. I wish the researchers would make up their minds!!!

Personally, I think if you are drinking a case of beer a week you have more pressing matters that need to be addressed. Like your Alcoholism... for starters...

Got/Beer Gut? I doubt if three or four beers per day would destroy my brain but I would be seriously concerned about my gut.

First stage of alcoholism is blacking out, contrary to popular belief (don't think that because you blacked out one night, you're now an alcoholic -- these are indications)... and especially for those people who think that drinking by yourself makes you an alcoholic. Shall I continue? :P

Stage 2: Loss of control after the first drink (weak sign of dependence)
Stage 3: Regular morning drinking (strong sign of dependence)
Stage 4: Choice between life or death

Do you consider a case 12, 18, 24, or the mighty 30?

case = 30

We've (my friends and I) have always called everything under that by it's number of beers ("I'm gonna go get a 24 pack..")
