ok i got one,
heres what i got, all for 199.99 off ebay
Dell Axim X5 300Mhz Pocket PC. It has no marks or scratches on the screen or body of the unit. Included with screen protector in place (plus one spare in the case), original software and Manuals including Dell Axim X5 Quickstart guide, USB Sync/Charging Cradle with Dell power supply, Original Dell Case which is also in excellent condition, Dell Snap-On Keyboard and Driver CD, Dell TrueMobile 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11b WLAN CF Card and Driver CD, PDA-ir IR extender.
also got the higher capacity battery and Microsoft® Pocket PC 2003 Premium with it
good deal? i think so :)

I **HAD** one for a little more than a week. It was a good little PDA, but the wireless card's range (about 10m) and IR's range (about 1.5m) was not what I had expected, and I really didn't feel that I *needed* it, so I returned it.

oic, i can't wait, this is going to replace my monochrome palm m100
I have an Axim X5 Advanced (400MHz, 64MB RAM). It's held up for the 16 months I've had it, and has a few problems with the power button and touchscreen (but I like it so much that I won't replace it yet :)) ... also because i don't have the budget to :heh:
I hope you like it! Also, post back with your wireless observations... I might get a CF 802.11b card if you think it's worth it!

alright, i was thinking about making a make-shift antenna if the range wasnt that great :) thats def possible

not bad pdas. 400mhz is the way to go. word docs, on screen OCR. id recommend.
