can LCDs get burn ins?

CRTs have this problem if the monitor is left on for a considerable amount of time without the use of standby or turn off mode or screensavers. Do LCD have the same problem?

maybe if you had a 16:9 lcd and had it in 4:3 mode for weeks on a time...i dunno

Yes they do, however on an LCD its reversable. It usually takes twice the time it took for the burn-in to happen for it to come out though.
