Anyone buy the Kingston 512 pc3200 that was a deal listed on 4-16 and get the memory from AI?? Its 10 days , my order is still listed as pending, Cant tell if they charged my card. I have sent email asking about the pending status and if they plan to ship ....no response at all.
Seemed like a good deal since no rebate to deal with but has quickly hit the hopper.
Email me your order info, I'll check with them.

Is this the same "AI Computers" that got the REALLY BAD write-up in Maximum PC this month?
If you haven't read Maximum PC yet... I'd suggest you go get it. AI Computers is in "deep dog doo doo" with the "Watchdog"... if this is the same company that they were talking about.

I don't read the "suckages" as deep as say... "Off Topic". Sorry.
Maybe if "someone" had posted a link to said thread... I wouldn't have to search for it. :hmm: :D

EDIT: Ok... I guess this is the thread you are referring to: http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68930
Personally, I have never done business with them, and based on what I've heard... I never will.

Mayber Apex should reconsider listing deals on the main page for this place...
Right now it doesn't look like they are doing "good" business... :2far:

Ouch. Here's Resellers too; http://www.resellerratings.com/seller6310.html
And DarkFury, you jogged my memory. MaxPC's writeup was pretty good. It sounds like the outfit is poorly managed, and maybe poorly owned too.
I see today's Apex deals have them splashed all over the place with deals. <shudder>

i've seen plenty about the service (btw that company does NOT answer its phone lines), but not the products...

I ordered a system from them on 28 April. To date I have received only an order confirmation. No response to 3 emails asking for a delivery date. Their phone rings busy every time I call.
I'd really like to have the system, it was a hellava deal - $200 off the top, plus another 50% off. But I'm tempted to cancel the order due to lack of response.

Not to laugh at others misfortunes, but I find the entire giant thread in the Got Deals forum hilarious.
First off, why the heck are people getting mad at Apex. He has never steered anyone wrong and would not knowingly do so. I just wish he hadnt made the statement about paying for peoples damages if they get screwed. Nice to do, but not legally sound.
Second, all of these newbs that jumped on the deal are all suddenly signing up for accounts so they can gripe. If you were wary of the deal, then dont try it, if you try it and get scared, back out...take care of your business, but there is no need to sit there and go on and on and on about it.
Finally, everyone is so gung ho to declare things a fraud and raise a stink about it. What happens if the deal comes through yet, you already complained. Sure they have crappy customer service and a bad business ethic, but if I were in it, I would alert the company to the fact that you are about to make a claim. You might suddenly get a response.
Just my .02.

yup they are just using the forums to bitch and moan....

I totally agree with this.
HOWEVER (and I don't think this will happen after all the fuss), if Apex advertises deals for them in the future, he should be ready to accept all of the complaining that will come with future deals. After reading this thread and the one in Got Deals, I feel like AI Computers is not a good merchant, unlike most 90% of the stores Apex advertises deals for where you put in an order, and within a week or two you get your product AND there are people there to handle customer service.
My 0.02 as well

I agree. As long as Apex has/had some financial incentive in the deal (usually through referral links), he should be ready to accept some of the complaining and responsibility that comes along with it.
I think it's great that he does try to resolve the situation as much as he can for people. But, I also feel that AI was a well known problem even before Apex posted this deal; so Apex's assurances to his customers need to be backed.
I didn't buy anything though :-P
