bah!
im finding myself shaking down my laundry for loose change, making literally every penny count, and drinking water for breaks (which is kinda healthy, actually).
im staying home and not calling people so i dont go out and spend money. well, i still call them anyway, but refuse to go out. as soon as im done with work, im off straight home.
im cooking my own food (ramen city). if im tired of them, im going to my mom's and my sisters' to mooch off food from them (ima moocher!) :P
im actually making some headway cleaning my tiny shoebox of an apartment with my forced downtime after work. i got so much junk! ebay?
im HANDwashing my underwear and socks, until i get enough money for laundry.
im thinking of dipping into my savings, but nah! i can weather this. ive had worse days. i can last 3 more days.
anyways, im just glad the stuff i ordered came in yesterday. i now have a toy to play with until i get paid. THEN ill have more money to buy a couple more toys, and again be broke.
he he he!
:D

...should be fired.
so i called dell about a shipment that was supposed to have arrived 4/26 (ordered it on the 20th). the guy took 15 minutes to figure out where the shipment is, or what the tracking number was - i was never sent any in the mail. Turns out they attempted delivery on the 22nd! im thinking cool, thanks for looking it up, ill go call DHL Airborne Express and have them hold it. they needed my signature, and the driver didnt know where my door was, and the phone number entered was incorrect. It was being held at their depot.
Moron #1 from DHL: finds the shipment with the tracking # that the dell rep gave me, but get this: i need an authorization from Dell to get it. im like "huh?" She said, "oh, dell will know what to do." im thinking all i need is to show my driver's license with my name and my mug and my address on it, and sign the release, same as if it was delivered." but nope, i gotta call dell to do some authorization "because it was an online order", and they have to call DHL. again, "huh?" im thinkin, whatever, lets call dell again.
Moron #2 from Dell: i call the same number, same extension number, i figured theyd be able to pull up the order # and do what needs to be done. WRONG! I asked for them to help me with teh order, and told them what the rep at DHL said. the rep that picked up the call couldnt understand what i was referring to, and started to get snooty with me. "oh, we dont have anything to do with that order. Oh, we dont do phone orders. Oh, we only do online orders." and she was about to transfer me to some other department. uhm, yeah. thats why i called this number. CUZ THIS IS AN ONLINE ORDER - Thats how i ordered this and thats how i got this order # that i just gave you. I told her i called not even 10 minutes prior, and spoke to a Kevin. Her response? "Sir, you know Dell is huge?" in a patronizing/condescending tone. im thinking, ok, that was just insulting, like she was talking to a 2 year-old. why not just check my order, and go from there? why all this pulling teeth just to check my order? And i TOLD HER THAT. At that point i said to transfer me to her supervisor, and just as she was about to transfer me i hung up. BAH! im not gonna be put on hold, not especially by some cntfaceprissyassairhead biatcha who doesnt know how to talk to customers or take care of a problem. Ill call again!
Actually i didnt call them again. im thinking, this package is HERE already, and all i have to do is call DHL again and arrange for a pickup, forget dell's authorization F**K DELL! Ive done it before anyway, and i just dont understand why i need any authorization from dell to get the package. Like i said, picking it up is the same as it being delivered to me, all i have to do is show my picture ID and sign.
i called DHL again, and this time got a very personable, caring, and corteuous lady on the line. She knew exactly what needs to be done, and sent a notice to the depot to hold it, saying im on my way to pick it up. Immediately i got in my car, drove, and in 15 minutes i was there. # minutes later, im signing for the package, and heading home.
good thing i didnt get the dell ahole's name, otherwise id be writing dell about my unsavory experience. you know what? ill write them anyway. im sure theres a way to track who it was that accessed my order/account. i dont want the airhead fired, maybe just fileted and strung up the gallows. But we all know that aint gonna do shet. but who knows?
Anyways, im the kind of person that dont hold grudges anymore - chalk one up for experience. all i care now is how great my new toy is - the worth was all the wait! :)
EDIT:
ha ha! i posted my other thread into my first thread - whoops!
oh well. :P

this is like your personal livejournal, except in a thread :D
yeah f*ck dell. No offense to you phone reps here on the boards, but phone reps have the brain the size of a pistachio nut (and the penis the size of a walnut). Thank god we have these types of jobs to occupy the idiots of the world. But also the companies should be blamed for caring about reps' call average rather than customer satisfaction.
Bah...all they care about is money. Once they have it, they don't care.

yes. but realize that one of the reasons we can get an uber cheap desktop is because of the cheap phone reps.
