i wanted Lii Ann to stay on. i admired her vim and vigor.

who do you think is gonna win it? i think it's gonna be Amber. she is using Boston Rob - just using him good.

I could tell you spoilers, if you are interested. ;)

I HATED Shi-Ann. I'm kind of digging Rob this season, altho I hated him last time. lol

Honestly, of all who are left, I'd vote for Rupert... but he's the FIRST one they'll get rid of being scared of his "friendly" factor...

Everyone else is just a snake in the grass or just plain DUMB. :2far:

Amber wanted to lay back in the cut and fly under the radar... I guess Shii Ann had other ideas on that huh? :hihi:

BTW... Shii Ann really didn't add much to the tribe anyways... other than a bunch of snide comments to the other competitors. So pretty much she went the way of Alicia.. the only other person they hated more than her. Go figure (now Jenna is fighting for "most hated" on the island).

Rob is a smug snake in my opinion... hopefully not everyone is falling for his "airs"...

But for now, it just seems that everyone is suckin' up to him... (letting him get all the "shared rewards" and such... :hmm: )

Rupert gave him the Burger dinner and Tom let him have his brother during the family visit. Outside of that, he was winning challenges outright...

Is that a setup or what? Cause I don't understand why Rupert and Big Tom haven't started talking... :hmm:

But even 2nd place usually gets around 100K... plus there is the normal "car" that someone gets right about the final reward challenge when they get down to the final 4...

Well if the previews for next week are any clue, Rupert and Big Tom are going to get in a row....which could be very bad for one of them. I think they should band together and get rid of Rob.......they would have it locked in then between the two of them. Everyone is playing stupid this time.

I'm hoping that Rupert will win.

YanksFanRy
05-01-2004, 02:45 PM
They should have joined together and kicked out Rob the last two weeks when they've had the chance. He is so conniving and just has most everyone right under his thumb. To some extent I think too many people hate him to vote him as the winner, but at the same time they have to respect that he's doing something right.

Tom and Amber have mostly just flown under the radar till this week, we'll see what effect that has, if any.

I also like Rupert, he just seems like a nice guy. He deserves the money too, as he has a family and does noble work.

I hated Shii Ann, I absolutely despise Rob. I have no feeling on Amber or Jenna. And Tom's accent can be quite annoying. My favorite before it even started was Tina, with Ethan my second favorite... but the past-winners didn't last. Still an interesting show. Mark Burnett is a television genius.

yeah I agree totally...

btw you noticed that at the last tribal council, everyone pretty much realized that boston rob doesn't do squat. Rupert is pretty much the only guy who does stiff. Rob just saves himself for the immunities.

If any of the 4 are smart, they'll realize they need to get him off now to even have a chance. Rob's pretty much lost all his power. He can't dictate a vote anymore.

Oh, and don't think that Rob won't win because he's screwed people over. This isn't the normal Survivor. These people respect how well people play the game. So if Rob is deceptive and still gets to the final two, he'd probably be the overwhelming favorite.

Another thing: Why do people always want the most interesting people voted out? When that happens (like when Jerri was voted out in season 2), the show SUCKS! It's so boring.

Yes, but do you remember that Survivor season where Shii Ann was voted out? Me neither. The most memorable seasons are the ones where there are bitches (male or female) battling it out until the end. A show full of boy scouts is not entertaining. If it weren't for good ol' Rich in the first season, this show might not have made it to a season two.

DarkFury
05-02-2004, 10:43 PM
Yes, but do you remember that Survivor season where Shii Ann was voted out? Me neither.

Actually I do... they were in Thailand that year. And she was just as lazy there as she was on the "All Stars". Where da hell was Gervace? I guess he just didn't wanna go through that again, and honestly I can't blame him if that was the reason, simply because of the odds against you in Survivor as a Black male... Some Black women can sometimes slide under the radar (like the one Black lady that won when there were in Marquesas), but Black dudes just can't lie low in this situation...or at least not all the way to the finish.

Personally, I didn't consider "Shii Ann" an "All Star", but I guess someone had a liking for her. Personally, she had like ZERO compatibility/personality with anyone and basically wanted to keep to herself.

How is that good for "TV watchin'"... but then again, I guess you were looking only for the conflicts to make a good show. Personally, I watch it for the "strategy" (or lack of...) I guess we each have our own hot buttons for what entertains us.

I wanted Gervase, too. My guess is that they probably offered it to him, but he refused. Rumor was they offered every former winner a chance to come back, and obviously not all did. I think the only reason Shii Ann was there was that there was nobody else from the Thailand show who was remotely interesting.

Maybe his "life altering experience" changed him so he couldn't come back... Either that, or he knew that "Clay" wouldn't be there so that he could choke him out again during a team challenge. :hihi:

Personally, I find some of their choices for All Stars sort of odd. I think they should have required ALL of the past winners and runner-ups to play. Theoretically, that would have been all of the best survivors....but I think it would have shown the weakness of some of the past winners. I also question their use of the same site as the last show.

You also have to remember that certain seasons, such as Survivor Africa, were discovered after the fact to have an error that required reparations. If you recall, Lex ended up being paid an additional amount after the end of the show. The stated reason was that when he was counted out in an event before he was actually out. Thus, he could have been in the final two and Ethan might not have won. If memory serves they paid him an additional $100k (the amount the runner up gets)

More or less, Survivor can continue on until they do "Celebrity Survivor"... then I'm callin' it quits.

"The Mole" was a good reality show as well... until it went "Celebrity". Now it just sucks... so that pretty much is the "kiss of death" to a reality show for me. (BTW... I stopped watching "Fear Factor" after they had a celebrity show as well... We definitely don't wanna see that.)

Ok, DF, just for you:

First immunity challenge, Amber wins. AmberRob decides it's going to vote Rupert. Jenna has a choice. She can either vote for Rob with Rupert and create a tie or go along with AmberRob. AmberRob tells her that with a tie, everyone except Amber will have to grab a stone and the one with the purple stone will be gone. Jenna could theoretically be eliminated, even without having gotten a vote. Jenna votes Rupert.

Final immunity challenge is standing and putting your hand on an idol. Jenna takes her foot off the pedestal she's standing on, and she's out. Then AmberRob debates who should take immunity. Eventually they decide to play for it. Rob wins. Rob takes Amber with him to the end.

At the jury questioning, there are lots of bitter b*tches. Lex whines about being betrayed, and how friendship was ruined. Kathy does the same. Alicia is all pissy. Tom is angry. Rupert, Jenna, and Shii Ann all say, "Whatever, you both played a great game. Congrats."

Final vote is 4-3 for Amber. Rob proposes to Amber, Jerri gets booed off the stage, Lex gets exposed for being a hypocrite, and Cool Rob (not Boston) doesn't even get spoken to. Also, Ugly Sue got some makeover/surgery, Jenna Momdied is dating Ethan Bighair. Shii Ann is given a new car by Amber, and Rich has found love with some man.

The end.

Thanks a bunch man... YOU ROCK!!! :D

So Rob proposed to Amber... Hee hee... I guess that is "another way" to get your hands on the money. I see... once again, people are STUPID. Jenna obviously thought she actually had a chance against the Rob/Amber alliance? Geez....

She shoulda took her chance with the stone... (maybe she just didn't realize that "3rd place" is truly "first loser"... as in don't get "nada". At least 2nd usually pays out about 100K) Rob shoulda been voted out a long time ago, however these players were just "too dayuum stupid" to realize that he was the biggest "immunity threat"... and they let him keep playing his games. I just don't understand that.

"Big Tom" is probably the "Biggest Idiot"... and he deserved what he got.. "NOTHING".

I personally am voting for Rupert myself for the 2nd Mill... he DESERVES it. All those other folks can just go "suck it" for being "sucky players". :pfft:

As far as Sue Hawk's "makeover"... I saw something about that on ET. I guess they filmed it and what she went through. Was that "reparations" for the Richard Hatch incident? Hmmm... I wonder.

Lex.. well he's just a crybaby bastid anyways. For all his "plotting and planning" he fell victim to his own seedy plans... so pretty much he can only blame himself. Kathy... well she just fell victim to Lex's plan. Alicia... well she shoulda just kept her dayuum mouth shut and played the game.

More or less, they learned NOTHING from their previous Survivor experience.

By the way, did they ever say who voted for whom? What 4 went to Amber versus Rob?

I didn't do one because I thought you didn't want spoilers, but ialsohaveadream has a good one. Good job.

Well since this was a live show and pretty much I posted AFTER it had already happend, it wasn't a "spoiler"...

At least by this morning... it definitely wasn't a spoiler for the West Coast.

Either way, it's all good now...

I guess Shii Ann was right... they just couldn't recognize that Amber was gonna win it all (Besides... the last episode I did see on Thursday... she said something to the effect of "I can smell the money"... that and the fact that she won a car (which I'm assuming she gave to Shii Ann since she was the only one who recognized her "game") woulda been enough to get most folks booted off... but not this time.

I wonder... between Rob and Jenna... would Rob have won? I guess the world will never know, but I bet HE is thinking about that. (but then again, Rob is still trying to cover all the bases by gettin' with Am-buh and sharing her cash. :D )

Shii Ann got the car for being the "swing vote" that allowed Amber to win.

As for Rob vs. Jenna, they polled the jury...Rob would've won 4-3. But like you said, Rob locked up the money either way.

A few things to point out....Rob proposed BEFORE the winner was announced, so Jeff said, well I guess no matter who wins, Amber is getting the million. As for the break down:

Rupert, Kathy, Jenna all voted for B. Rob.
Rupert just congratulated him.
Kathy said, I know our friendship can be saved, take the money and run.
Jenna said, dont apologize for how you played. You played and won and you deserve the money.

Shiiann, Big Tom, Lex, and Alicia voted for Amber.
Alicia said, Rob..if you remember back on day X I shook your hand and said I would NEVER write you name down.....well I keep my word and I will NEVER write your name down.

I dont recall anything the other three said in their naming speech.

As for other noteworthy things:
Lex and Kathy's speech seemed to really get to Rob.
Big Tom was obviously mad as hell and basically told Rob off during the final tribal council, including an 80's psych out hand shake. During the reunion show, Big Tom once again let into Rob for the comments he made about Beau..saying that insulting him was one thing but his family was another. Rob said that he was saying the things in jest and never meant to offend Big Tom or his family. He pointed out that Big Tom called him his pony the entire time and he called him affectionately dumbass the entire time. When Rob apoligized, Big Tom seemed to appreciate it and actually shook his hand this time.

Other than that, Jerri told off the world saying that we are people and not characters...to which she got booed, and left the show.

Richard Hatch let into Lex because he did to Colby and Ethan what Rob did to him, so he should get off his high horse.

Rupert was asked next and he said he couldn't top Rudy's reply.

The thing about Lex is that I think that if he had burned Rob in the same way, Rob would've understood. Lex was just mad that it didn't work out for him. They know going in that it's just a game, and Lex even explained that to his "friend" Ethan as he was voting him out.

I seriously wanted to vomit wildly and uncontrollably all over Alicia through the last few tribal councils and the conclusion. There were a few like that, but she was easily the worst. I think that was the one redeeming thing about Shiiann. Those in glass houses...
Well you gotta realize.. it ain't easy being voted the "least deserving to be on Survivor All Stars"...

I'd be pretty pissed to be voted for that honor... :2far:

lol I was whistling cause I have it on an ftp that I could send him if he wanted. ;)Heh... just tell me where to DL it from and I'm there. :D

so Rupert is the million dollar man. good choice.

they showed the island where the next Survivor is taking place in Sept. - another hot climate. i am waiting for Survivor Alaska. let's see 'em deal with some cold weather. but then again we wouldn't get to see booty if it were that chilly - so m'be that is why they stick with the heat.

Color me shocked.

I doubt too many Survivor fans had doubts of who was going to win that one.

Yay for Rupert... it couldn't have been given to a more deserving Survivor. :thumb:

Vanuatu. I remember the name because I know the islands are a huge tax shelter for companies...

hey! it's one of those random things your brain holds on to...

but when Rupert won I just smiled. He deserved it more than anyone. Boston Rob had guts to say in front of him that he deserved it more, Rob didn't do jack to help anyone but himself.

Thankfully Rupert won. Made me a very happy camper....I was concerned that the nitwits might somehow screw up and give it to some idiot.

You know, the one thing I really can't stand about this show is the people on the jury who roll their eyes, and shake their heads in disgust no matter what happens, or what is being said by the contestants.

I seriously wanted to vomit wildly and uncontrollably all over Alicia through the last few tribal councils and the conclusion. There were a few like that, but she was easily the worst. I think that was the one redeeming thing about Shiiann. Those in glass houses...

well I missed the last show -but am glad to know that the burly ol bear (Rupert) won the dough..he deserved it..those people would have starved without him..personally I think he, Rudy and Richard are the most personable ones on there..and out of the three one was bound to win. I agree with Apex..Alicia's eye rolling and face making was making me see red...like DUH did she know she was on camera? her (and some others) responses in the form of face making, eye rolling and head shaking totally gave away their objective feelings at the last few tribal councils...Alicia is just a bitch plain and simple..it has nothing to do with the fact she's black, or buff..she just had a holier than though-better than everyone attitude and she needed a good slap in the head. As far as Lex goes..HEY hello? it's a game..he was whining about "friendships being broken" etc..the name of the game wasn't see if you can cow tow to your pansy ass new buddies while they suck a million dollars out of your hands..it's SURVIVOR..Rob played well this time around if you ask me..he (and richard) really got the concept of the game..
Sue-well...personally I didn't think that make over made her look any different. That woman has the flattest chest of anyone I've ever seen..I'm seriously thinking about sending in a video and an application for a future survivor (or Amazing Race) and if I'd make the cut I'd be sure to bring something with the G|A logo all over it..lol....but I'd have a problem if I had to eat bugs. I'd love to be on the amazing race..because I can run fast and the way I see it it's free trips around the world. Who can pass that up!~
