i'll be in houston next week and wanted to go to a game. i'm visiting some customers i've never met. whenever i travel i try to go to a baseball game.

so about 20 minutes ago i called the guy and set up a meeting for tuesday. and i say, hey...you ever been to see houston play? him...nope. but i'd like to. me...i'll buy three tickets and you can bring someone. him....that's great. i'm sure i can find someone to go. thanks.

Yes, this is definitely true. I think one of the main reason is because a baseball stadium can seat twice as many people, thus, with such a high volume they can afford to charge a bit less per seat. Basketball arenas can seat upwards of maybe 20,000 while baseball stadiums can seat as many as 60,000.

Dodgers stadium: $6 - $37 per seat
Petco Park (Padres): $8 - $55 per seat
Staples Center (Lakers): $24 - $187.50 per seat (Floor Seats are well over $1,000 each)
Staples Center (Clippers): $12 - $125 (I think) per seat.
