Good call pigpen. This is definately the place to post this message since it is the most widely visited forum and should get a lot of traffic.
I concur with your assessment - way too much NON-DEALS threads are showing up. A wast of time in this forum. Also, my pet peeve is the large number of members with replies that do not provide any benefit to the deals. They are just replying to build up their number of posts.

I definitely think this is NOT the place to post this. Gee, i wonder why this board is going down? Its posts like THIS from people who can put things in the proper forum... people who CARE will read the other forums... Theres no excuse bud.

Oh yeah, and about the post count remark- since I have the most i'll speak for my other high numbered friends. Youre a dumbass. There are such things called other forums where people make, yes, thousands of posts with NOTHING deal related. More than half of my posts are from other forums. The number of people's posts does not come from this forum. So if someone has 1000 posts, and 0 deals, maybe they help in hardware, or just hang out in off topic. You sure have a crappy pet peeve.

Apex still has no dsl and a very crappy phone line connection, ergo very bad modem connection, too. He will be back as soon as possible. Meanwhile, everyone can help by minding their own business and quit jumping on everyone else. If something is in the wrong place, ignore it and we will get to it as soon as we can. We do have other jobs that require more of our time, but we can get to these at night when we can. Just ignore the posts that are in the wrong place, etc, and they will eventually die away.

i think that the other members who have some seniority, even though we do not have the most posts, will agree with me when i say-
shut the f*ck up and lay off of apex. what the hell is he supposed to do right now? send smoke signals? the frequency with which the deals are posted wax and wane and you have to be able to sustain yourself on the other members posts. it just makes the deals page more enjoyable when they are flowing in.

Att has it right. While the site could certainly stand a good dose of leadership, that just isn't possible right now (unless Apex wants to hang out at the local Kinko's or something).
That said, it'd be great if some got these forums under control again. I stopped coming here for deals a long time ago (re http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/redface.gifff-topic threads etc.), but deals are what brought me here to begin with. It'd be nice to see that revived. Right now, it's being choked out with a million request weeds. I have no solution.

Sorry for the long absence, my friends. I had an UNBELIEVABLY unreliable internet connection, so I really wasn't effective for the last 6 weeks or so. But I'm back.

Seems like quite a bit of flaming and stuff has gone on here in the last few weeks, but it looks to me that it's starting to tone down. I'd like to keep that trend going. Again, we haven't closed any accounts or anything and don't want to start.

Anyways, I'm back and ready to start working on administration. I'm hoping you all can help me out by keeping things levelheaded and smooth so I don't have to spend all my time here. I'd like to work on the deals section once in awhile. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif
