I've been using www.hotpop.com for all my email stuff cause you can make as many accounts as needed and it's free. They also have pop/smtp capabilities and mail forwarding which I really LOVED!

Yesterday they just went dead and I don't know if that means they are ever coming back or not. I can't really assume that they are and furthermore I don't know if I can wait for them to come back.

I'm trying to find the best replacement for them either free or I'm thinking now that I should do something where I pay (but I'd still prefer not to).

Suggestions ASAP! I really need to set something up cause I don't know if my students are able to reach me at this point.

Should I just buy a domain and then park it somwhere where I don't ever use the web hosting for a web page but they have a good sized allowance on email and such and if so I'll need some help setting it up. I'd like it so I can use outlook or outlook express to retrieve and send emails. What places should I look and can anyone give me some guidance. I looked at godaddy where I currently have a web page but I don't think they have smtp. That limits my ability to use them since I really don't know the smtp at work and the university won't give it out cause they insist I just use their web based email program which I don't like at all.

Thanks in advance.

Why can't you use your university accounts to handle everything?

It's not just for university use and so I don't think it's appropriate.

If no one knows, I can give you a cox.net account if you'd like.
