View Full Version : Need Deals forum is stupid

Now I have to spend twice the time by checking both these forums when there were no problems at all with just one.

I agree. I found it very informative when people would post questions, and guess what? The replies often turned into good deals!
I think the overly-anal, self-proclaimed message board police who would whine over deal requests forced Apex into the wrong decision.
You are correct - It is much easier to have "one-stop" shopping for deals instead of having to check deal forums.
Nuke the "Need Deals" forum!

I sorta agree. One stop shopping is the best. I check both everyday and I do like the old way better. By the way, what's the opposite of overly anal?

I agree as well. When someone posted a question for a deal usually it turned out to be a deal for myself or others. Not to mention the Need Deal's page gets less traffic than this forum.

I for one love the new forum. Its nice to not see all the people asking. I do check the need deals forum everytime I check the board. I don't mind helping anyone if I have an answer.
Just nice to have them in different places. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

I agree with NiceMann, 110%!
And I do help out on the Need Deals forum.

Dat's why his name is Niceman! hehe...no, I agree, the Need Deals forum should stay...I check it every time i go on, right after "got deals" because I know i'll be able to find more deals in there...just give it time...once the newbies stop asking for stuff in "got deals" it will work quite well...i think...
And furthermore, I believe that Carthage should be destroyed.

I personally see nothing bad with the "need deals" forum. You have to be pretty damn lazy to feel like it is a headache or something to open up another window. . . my two cents.

I like it

Hmm I don't mind the need deals but in my opioin that forum did not stop ppl from posting on the got deals forum. only those that followed the "rules" post there but a lot of those who don't still post in got deals

I'm on 28.8 baby. EVERYTHING is a headache to open http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I can't agree more with the old folks. The need deals is no more trouble to visit than any other. For those that say they don't do it...jeez, start.
I totally disagree that requests were turning into good deals for others. I'd be surprised to find any more than 10% getting a meaningful reply.
And clueless, it's a questions of changing habits. It's gotta be a humongous pain in the ass for the Apex Moderator now, but once users figure it out, it'll be okay.

I really like the new forum. Only problem is people always want technological deals and I have no clue how to help them with those. Why can't people use practical things like books and food and dental floss? ummmm....dental floss is great. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
