I'm so freaking pissed off right now I could honestly kill someone. A certain well known company has 2 positions open which I am qualified for......so I go to apply. First, its has a lovely proprietary information system....you have to go through all of their pages and retype everything into it. Lovely. Dumb sh|ts who are too lazy to actually make it convenient and readable. Of course their system doesnt recognize any of the formating so everything gets screwed up and I have to go through and fix it. (even having saved as an ascii file didnt fix it) So it took me a few hours to go through this since I have an extensive background and they were asking lots of information. I submit it and figure that like other companies sites that do this, whenever you come back it will retain your information and enter it in automatically.
Now as I said, there was a second job I was going to apply to at the same company....a little lower down on the totem pole but still in the same general area. (One was a full associates postion while the other was more of a true entry level position....I qualify for both) I go to that job, enter in my screen name and password, figuring this is going to take all of two seconds. When the screen comes up, it has my name, address, and the beginning information but all of the rest of the stuff is missing!
FRUCK! I click on the help screen since I know the site says once you enter it once it will be there for all the other jobs. It suggests filling out this other page...so I take the time to do this. Now when I go to click on the second position, according to their help screen, it should automatically be entered in. NOPE. I try to just go to the next screen since they will see it as an error and go get it. Nope.
Finally, i resign myself to filling out this form for a FIFTH time. (The original two times it was never completed, then the two other times)...when I click on it, I get an error message.
So, the WHOLE AFTERNOON was spent on this crap. My wife, was insisting that I apply for both positions today because the one just became available and so was the reason why I didnt just say fruck it after the first time the site messed up, has me annoyed because she just doesnt get why I am so annoyed. I seriously want to take out a large weapon and kill some random employee of that company who designed their system.
