Do women call their cars by female names?
Personally, anything "non living" you usually have a close personal relationship with as a man takes on a "female" characteristic as a guy (unless you play the other side of the fence) ...
Guys name boats after women, cars, guns, etc... :D

would you rather say "im taking stella out for a ride tonight" or "im taking john out for a ride tonight"
hehe, or like dark said, unless you are on the other side of the fense or something.

its directly gender related. all straight members of the respective sexes use the opposite for names. unless, youre gay, lesbian, then you user the like names for the like gender. :)
personally, i say She, cause I am not riding "dude" in my car. it doesnt feel right.

Hurricanes are named both male and female names...Yep. I think they alternate male/female, and increment the first letter (A____, then B____, then C____...)

Why are vehicles reffered to as females?
Because they take lots of money, something you will always need, and they can make you really happy.

women are more sensitive in general and you feel an emotional attachment to the machine.

doesn't this also have to deal with why ships are referred to as females...probably cause it's being driven by males and has some sexist overtures to it...:naughty:
