Okay. So I order tickets a couple of weeks ago on a friday for my girlfriends birthday that sunday. I use the "ticketfast" service that advertises "print your tickets today" I get the tickets the following tuesday, after contacting customer service at least five times. Now I find the artist ticketmaster has listed on their webiste is not the artist that is actually playing the event! It's not the L.A. Philharmonic after all! It's the "bowl" orchestra. While I'm sure they're good and all, I didn't pay to see the "bowl" orchestra, I payed to see the goddamned L.A. Phil! :throw: How the F*** can ticketmaster not even get the damned HEADLINER right??? What the hell are they smoking!?! RETARDS!!! Now I have to go through a ****load of Customer disservice hell to try and get some sort of a refund and/or transfer of tickets. Bastards! :censored:

repost...
:P
I agree completely--Ticketbastard sucks.
Interesting. Aside from the sucky fees, I have never had a problem with Ticketmaster.

I love buy 4 18$ tickets but having to pay 88$ total for them, somehow I get hit with 16$ in fees which includes a 3$(i believe 3$)for them to email them to me so I can prpint them!@#!@#@!#
That is what pisses me off, hey look we save on postage and we don't have to print them off, but it will cost you extra.... Does that make any ****ing sense to anybody?

Got my refund, got tickets to another show that actually has the L.A. Phil playing.

Glad to hear it's resolved, which show you going to by the way? And did you get one of the box seats so you can get a picnic table and wine and dine your girlfriend?

i can relate with ticketmonster being a tard.
i have 3 shows i want to go to, and only 1 gave me tickets with decent seats. well i cant really say seats, since im looking for PIT tickets, or floor seats. all i keep getting is stupid 1st level or second level seats, too far away from the stage. and thats using the INTERNET PRESALE. wtf is the use of a presale if you cant get decent seats? i guess all it guarantees is a way to get tickets before the public release. who cares about getting tickets before everyone else when all you get is the same seats as when you get it on the day OF the sale? internet presale tickets should be GOOD seats, not shaitty seats.
its the inconsistency that i get from ticketmonger that i truly hate, aside from its exorbitant charges. some gigs i get what i prefer, MOST DAYS i never do. sometimes early on isnt the best time to buy - one gig i went tio i didnt order til the week of, and i got pit tickets, which i NEVER got when i tried very early on.
frustrating, really.
so when i dont get the tickets i want from ticketmonster, i go to my ticket broker. i pay out my ass for it, but i get what i want. money isnt everything, and its not the only thing either. though i may not earn as much, i earn enough. and the way i go aboot things, i work to live, i dont live to work. what i earn is a means to my happiness. sure, i save something for a rainy day, but thats all figured in my budget. the rest is for FUN! :)
anyway, i always feel that ticketbastard's stupid system needs to be changed...

As much as you blame Ticketmaster on the poor selection of seats, it is actually the promotion company that is setting aside the seats for the "Internet Pre-Sale." Ticketmaster is simply a 3rd party that is conducting the sales transactions.
Internet Pre-Sales never guarantee seats close to the stage or the "best seats in the house." In fact, the best seats are usually reserved for the band/mgmt firm or corporate sponsors such as radio stations.
If you are only getting 1st and 2nd tier seats, then chances are the Pit/Floor seats weren't even available for your pre-sale.

Are they doing the music to Final Fantasy there? I read somewhere that the Philharmonic was going to play various FF scores this summer.

thats why i pooh-pooh internet presales these days. its a way for them to get rid of the crappy seats first. i wait til its like the week before, and get the more decent seats then, and just do "will call", and pick up the tickets at the gates. If it ends up selling out, well, then, i go to my ticket broker.
and true - the promoters usually (and always) have a hand in them, but my only question is why the hell is ticketmaster the only outlet online that sells these tickets at the actual price? sure there are ticket brokers that are NOT affiliated with ticketmaster, that DO have tickets to GREAT seats, but of course, at a premium.
anyway, that was a rhetorical question - i know why: ticketmaster's apparent monopoly with those tickets for most of the venues usually are related to the promoters themselves, thru "exclusive contracts", and with no one else. thats one reason they can charge so friekin much. and they HAVE to charge so much, since those promoters charge tm for the right to "exclusively" sell them. its a vicious circle, and we the consumer ends up paying for it. if this isnt true, please correct me. but the bottom line is you can only get the tickets to most major events thru ticketbastard. brokers yes, but again, at a premium. so its still a spend-a-lot situation either way. going to a ticket broker and spending much more imho is much better since i get to actually pick the seats i want,
anyways, i go to concerts and gigs regardless, and yes, i treat myself to the better seats. may not be the best, but certainly not the crappy ass retarded seats that are too far away. by then might as well get lawn seats.

Does Ticketmaster still have the following "privacy" statement (as I mentioned in this (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=558387#post558387) thread)?
By purchasing a ticket, or completing a registration form so that you are able to access a purchase page for a ticket, to a concert, game or other event on the Site, you consent (i.e., you opt-in) to us sharing your personal information with the venues, promoters, artists, teams, leagues and other third parties associated with that concert, game or other event ("Event Partners"). We cannot offer you a separate opportunity to opt-out, or not to consent, to our sharing of your personal information with them. Event Partners may use your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies, and may consequently use your personal information to contact you and may share your personal information with others.

Box seats!? Do I look like a millionaire!? We're going to the Midsummer night show in july in section H. Hey at least we have seats and not benches.

Box seats aren't that expensive. Them Terrace Boxes, the ones in front of Section H range from like 45 up. I guess you have to get them early though, since they sell out the quickest...
