In terms of length, I'm a nine and a half, but I need wide shoes, so even with extra wides, I wear tens or 10.5's.

The stupid boot lady at Basic refused to go by width and gave me 9.5's which left me with black and blue feet for three months.

Apparently a large number of people have larger feet now and so I am not such an oddity. The nice thing is shoe shopping.....I walk in, tell them my size and say bring whatever you have in that size out. It used to result in1 or 2 pairs of shoes...now I routinely get 4 or more pairs of shoes.

Haha, my roommate two years ago had size sixteen feet. He couldn't buy shoes without a three week wait. It made things convenient though. We had the exact same running shoes, but we never got them mixed up.

My feet aren't long as much as they are wide...

But normally a 12-13 does the trick, but I'm sure a 11 1/2 extra super wide might work. I dunno. Sometimes a 12 extra wide would be good...

athletic shoes: 12.5-13.5

but, my feet are very narrow, and unfortunately, the shoe companies make athletic shoes that, starting with size 12 or so, are terribly wide relative to the length.

Yeah, whoever says 11's are small for a 6' is fekkin nuts.

I am 6' 2" and I wear 11.5-12's, depending on the shoe. I also need wide shoes since I stand up and my feet expand about 1 size, my parents couldn't figure out why my small toe would always bust through my shoes until they brought me to the doc and found out that my arches are higher and would compress down.
