The Purple Monster

Does anyone know the name of the purple cartoon monster from Bugs Bunny?

He was a huge purple square with sharp teeth who would chase everyone around, usually in a haunted castle.

The reason I ask is because there is a guy at work who looks exactly like that monster, and I need some visual evidence.

He had two names, I think, depending on the cartoon. He was either Sherman, or Gossamer.

I assume you mean the character zen posted a pic of... and yes his name was [at least usually] Gossamer. Of course, he's orange not purple... I guess it's possible that they called him Sherman in some episodes. Marvin the Martian wasn't purple either. He was the round-headed black alien with a Trojan helmet and get-up, and he had a green Martian dog dressed similarly.

I can't remember any purple square creature, and I watched a TON of Bugsy and the gang when I was a kid. This was the closest I could come up with.

bad memory i guess.... I remember seeing that same character. I think maybe i confused him with a domo-kun, or maybe Grimace.
