Here's hoping that you get to use all the KY the others are offering up. Birthday booty is always required. :hihi:
Yay!
Want to know what I did this weekend? NOT A GOD DAMN THING!
:P
Actually I went to the mall and hobbled into Old Navy and got some new shorts, and a ugly yellow shirt :P
Then I bought UTK2004.
I can't have sex, because I messed my leg up. I've been hobbling around since Last friday (5/28/04) since we were playing broomball (bastardized version of hockey, where you wear regular shoes, and a duct taped broom, instead of A hockey stick and skates) and I scrapped my left shin. It's pretty :dead: Today is actually the first day I can walk without a noticeable limp. I'll post pictures if anyone wants to see my pus :D
So what am I doing tonight? I have a final for auto class, 100 definitions.
:|
The girl and I are kind of holding off on celebrating until we go to Vegas next week.
Thanks, ya'll.

Well if she's REALLY wantin' to "give it to ya", hang that leg off the bed and let her "ride into the sunset"...
Other than that, she could always give you the best oral of your life... broke legs don't effect that. :D

GEEZ...CLEAN THAT PUS OFF YOUR LEG WITH some good old fashioned hydrogen peroxide/ h20 rinse. it will clean it out nice and allow new tissue to generate. if worse comes to worse-go out and buy some HIBICLENS soap from a drug store-and make a wash with it that you can rinse your leg off with (followed by an h20 rinse)...DO NOT LET IT FESTER-that could be big trouble brewing....PLEASE..take care of that wound..

better advice than gangrene. I'd hate for him to have to change his nick after his foot gets amputated. I think the name stumpy is already taken.

I've been putting that stuff on, at least once a day. it bubbles up nice and white. The first night I poured Peroxide on it, and then I cleaned it with some Alcohol pads. hurt like a :censored:. I went to the Doctor's last week because I didn't think it looked to good, and she gave me some Biaxil.
I'll post some picture today of what it looked like last week. It was gross. Today it doesn't look so bad. It actually looks like it's scabbing up (finally!)
Tomorrow, I have my follow-up appointment, so I'm not too worried.... yet. :D
Thanks for the advice ;)

I'm so paranoid about my leg being hit, I doubt it would work.
although a nice 69 action might work....w00h00!

Ugh. Reminds me of the Simpson's episode with Homer running the daycare. "It's healing over my hand!" "It knows you're scared."
But anyway. Happy belated. Hope it was good.

how the hell did you do that??????
definately keep with the peroxide...and perhaps a VERY thin layer of neosporin...

I slid across the ice. Twice :D
Everytime I put neosporin on it, it gets really wet and crap starts running down my leg (when i say running, i mean i goes down my leg about the speed of cold honey).
Now that it's scabbing I will probably put some on

did you try cleaning it with an antibacterial soap yet? I'm tellin ya HIBICLENS is the way to go...that will kill any sucker alive. Betadine liquid would be good too...that will dry it out and clean it out all in one shot. I'd peroxide it-then put betadine on it. It looks sore.

Actually, you're apparently not supposed to get it TOO clean because that cleans out some of the body's natural healing agents.

PG and I told him to clean it right when it happened. But he didn't listen.

I did!
I went to the bathroom and saw no soap, so I wetted it down until I got to the house where I promptly poured peroxide on it and cleaned it with alcohol (as well as started drinking my own alcohol ;))

that is the wierdest thing I've ever heard-I must have missed that chapter in Nursing school. If that was true-why do they bother to coat surgical sights with Betadine scrub? In the Nursery-we always gave the babies their first baths with Betadine and water...trust me..he needs to keep that thing as clean as possible.

the only problem with that is that if a wound scars over before the infection is actually healed up or cleaned out-it leads to WAY bigger problems than a person would want. That's why it's best to keep it covered and unscabbed until you know for sure that the infectious part is healed..wounds with bandaids heal with less scar tissue than without..and wounds with bandaids ie: coverage, daily disinfecting, and if possible a thin layer of antibiotic ointment heal faster, better, and with less of a chance of reinjury to that area (such as accidently ripping off a scab and with it any new tissue growth which sometimes can be worse to heal than the original wound.)
