i sold a bicyle jersey on eBay and wanted to ship it today. (the auction ended yesterday.)

i sent him this message:

i was planning on sending this jersey via fedex or ups. however, i just realized the address is a PO box. i can send it via USPS, however i can't provide a tracking number and it will likely take several days longer. let me know what you want me to do.

he responds:

Send it IMMEDIATELY to:
blah blah blah

Haven't you ever heard of Priority Mail with delivery confirmation through the U.S.Post Office. They give you free boxes to ship in, and guarantee shipment anywhere in the U.S. in 2 or 3 days tops. Cost is $5. You can also confirm delivery.

am i overreacting to get kinda pissed? i was trying to send it to him the very next day and he sends me a reply in large freakin' bold red font so i'd know he thinks i'm an idiot.

He is a jackass. No reason for him to reply like that. I would send it as he mentioned and reply to him in 80 point font THANKS. Maybe make it flash too.

He's going to be mad when he can't get it on Friday due to the post office closure! :)

How do you send a bike to a po box. A tough fit I'd say

It's a jersey, not the bike.

I'd say,
"I'm sorry I don't ship to PO Boxes."

:D

I'd email him back and explain that you had in your past experience bad luck with the USPS which is why you prefer to ship via a more secure method. However, in light of his request that you will ship via the usps. And just dont worry about him being an ass....if he has money who cares.

next time you sell something on ebay-make sure you put NO P.O BOXES in your payment preferences.

:stupid:

I don't ship to PO boxes - real UPS/Fed-Ex deliverable addresses only.

So you didn't trust the Post Office to deliver it?
