I've been trying to learn photoshop over the last couple of days, this here was from the first day:
the tentacles were made just for hang10.
And this one just right now
So what do you guys think?
That depends... what's the text in the backgrounds? And is a bananaphone wallpaper in development? :P

you know, i've been wondering for a while now...
and this is not a criticism of your wallpapers, sho, because i think they look pretty good...
a good friend of mine is a professional graphic designer, and i've looked at his stuff, and i've looked at the stuff done by his peers, and i've just been noticing that all the "design" stuff that's become popular in the past few years follows a certain pattern.
they've all got some sort of geometric figure or sci-fi looking element, lots of random lines and symbols scattered throughout, and most intriguing of all, they all have these tiny, cryptic blocks of unreadable text; in the few instances when the text IS readable, it's almost always pseudo-artistic or wannabe poetic gibberish, or just pure nonsense period.
so i've always wondered if the text was just something to do for the hell of it, because it looks interesting and mysterious, or if these graphic design people actually have some idea what they're doing when they put that stuff in there...?
btw, this is my friend's website, just to give you an idea of what i'm talking about (i think it was recently revamped, so it might be lacking in content):

Those are great. But trendy is never good. Be cool in your own original way. Easier said than done, I know....
