I don't know how else to ask this, so I'll come out and say it. Have you ever gotten abbrasion or skin wear where your two meatballs would hit your thighs? Obviously, I don't want to go in to the doc for something seemingly harmless like this if it's something that is normal to happen. I found out when I was in the shower and noticed 2 marks on my thighs where the hair was worn off and it was red. And before anyone says it (and besides, no symptoms match anyway), it's NOT an STD :P ... i am disease free :thumb: :heh: I haven't been running much, but maybe I should just stand with my legs apart a little bit more.

I know, weird question, but have you ever had this happen, and if not, is it something worth going to the campus doctors for (blech)?

one more thing, there are spots on my hand that are drying out that look like the spots on my thighs... wonder if i'm just dehydrated? but that wouldn't explain the location..

No, sounds like chafing. Jeans are the most common culprit, or wet clothing. Wet jeans are a double whammy, and will chafe your crotch somethin fierce!

Jeez, man...don't you watch Survivor?

never had that, but it sounds like you just scratch yourself too often (explaining the redness and hairlessness there). :shifty:

get your self some Lotromin spray WITH POWDER(yes they do sell it that way) and give that are a good dosing of it after you dry off from your shower-sounds like you might be getting the start of a good case of jock itch. LOL. ...keep it dry man, keep it dry...if it clears up-my advice would be to give it a good shot of corn starch everyday just to be on the safe side. (I have sons remember?)

Lotromin spray with powder for the personal areas-Eucerin cream for the hand. good luck.

Okay, makes sense -- we did about 2 hours of hot tubbing over the weekend, and I think I ran home drunk. :disa:

I never knew what chafing or jock itch were, so I feel better about it. Thanks :)

Jock itch is a more likely possibility if: 1) you wore dirty clothes or didn't bathe for a while, 2) you wore someone else's clothes, or 3) you rubbed your crotch all over a bacteria mold. :P

Actually, yes. 'Ball rash' is a well known phemonina among the skimboarding community. Skimmers get it because board shorts have... inconvinient seams. And since you don't wear underwear under your board shorts and you sprint the equivilent of miles in one day the rubbing can get intense. After a long session you can in some serious pain. I've never had it that bad, but I have had it so bad that it made running uncomfortable.

jock itch, like atheletes feet comes from the area being warm, moist and dark which is the perfect combination for a good old dose of jock itch..excessive sweating, not completely drying off before getting dressed, wearing too many layers of clothing to prevent air flow...
~I agree though that your number 1^ certainly won't help the issue, and number 2^ is possible if you happen to like wearing someone else's DIRTY CLOTHES (under garments? eeeuw.) the chances of Number 3 happening are pretty nill.

kinda like biking. 1. no underwear/panty lines. 2. the garment is made to fit up against your skin.

and is no one else going to comment on the fact that his hand and his balls are both rubbed raw?

Thats definitly not surfing, go to the multi-media section and watch some of the videos. I'm not in those pictures because those pictures are all professionals and I am far from that level.

if the problem is chafing, i suggest you get some duct tape and tape your balls together. the smooth outer surface of the tape will east the chafing on your thighs. good luck

Sounds like a little chafing. Use a little Gold Bond power and let it air out as much as possible. You'll be fine. If you've got itching down there as well, use the lotramin powder.

sounds like just some chafing. I had it when I ran the 1/2 marathon. it'll go away soon. meanwhile, if it bothers you that much, and you can handle a little slime, put some petroleum jelly on there.
