They sure have changed a lot since the dark days of 1775. The army sure got a lot more efficient at killing thats for sure.

The Army Goes Rolling Along

March along, sing our song, with the Army of the free
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory
We’re the Army and proud of our name
We’re the Army and proudly proclaim

First to fight for the right,
And to build the Nation’s might,
And The Army Goes Rolling Along
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along.

Then it’s Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong (TWO! THREE!)
For where e’er we go,
You will always know
That The Army Goes Rolling Along.

Valley Forge, Custer’s ranks,
San Juan Hill and Patton’s tanks,
And the Army went rolling along
Minute men, from the start,
Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along.

Then it’s Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong (TWO! THREE!)
For where e’er we go,
You will always know
That The Army Goes Rolling Along.

Men in rags, men who froze,
Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we’re right,
And we’ll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.

Then it’s Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong (TWO! THREE!)
For where e’er we go,
You will always know
That The Army Goes Rolling Along

Man, I hate the Army's birthday. I never know what to get for it. I mean, what do you get for the Army that has everything? I mean, the Army has like billions and billions, and here I am looking on the racks at Wal-Mart.

We like care packages. Or at least, I liked them when I was in.

And the new uniform is going to take some getting used to. But I'm sure it'll be fine once we all get used to it.

Considering that it is very hot over there in the sandbox, I would get the army something that would quench the soldiers' thirst. Maybe a gotorade? Kool-aid?

That's one ugly BDU. :disa:

The new Marines BDU looks better.

The new Marines BDU looks better. It's not too bad. Besides, that's just the urban look. I'm reserving judgment until I see the colors for the woodland and desert. In terms of improvements though, I like the moved pockets, I like the velcro (assuming it lasts and doesn't cause a noise discipline problem), and I like the practicality of it.

Also, it's very similar to the Marine BDU. So I say, eh.

http://www.150.si.edu/images/4wash1.jpgEh, I like our current dress uniforms better. I say that they're far classier for dress. As for using that to fight? You couldn't pay me enough to train in the mud wearing that.

Just goes to show how far we have fallen in good taste and culture as a country. ;)

Just goes to show how far we have fallen in good taste and culture as a country. ;)If you're into leather straps, riding crops, and tight leggings, by all means. :P

As for me, a good black and blue suit with a minmal amount of flourish will be sufficient for me.

so who blows out the candles?

so who blows out the candles?Usually, the highest ranking officer and the youngest soldier there. That gets fun, seeing a four star general and a 17 year-old private fresh out of Basic holding a saber and cutting into the cake.
