We haven't had one of these in a while so here goes. What gets on your nerves?

Lately I have been noticing a lot more smokers on the road tossing their cigarette butts out the window. That pisses me off. Don't screw up the planet just because you don't give a crap about your lungs buddy! :bandit:

Oh and people who drive in the fast lane going slower than the rest of traffic have always been a pain in the rear, as well as people who drive carelessly while talking on their cell phones. Well how about people who drive in the fast lane going way too slow while driving carelessly and talking on their cell phones?!!? THose people should be run off the road! :mad2: :bigmouth:

Ah that's better :) Anyone else got any pet peeves, new or old that you would like to share?

i'm am with you on the butt flingers eSDee. i was driving behind a guy in a jeep with the top off and he just flung his cigbutt back at me. ARRRGGGGHHH!

in NYS it is against the law to drive and talk on your cell...

but then there are people that pull out in front of you and then don't get up to speed. accelerate or stay back i say.
and God Bless those senior drivers, but some of them need to park it permanently.

when people knock at your door at 10pm and tell you the TV is too loud, and at 2AM you hear them playing their PS2 hootin and hollerin.

another is when people dont call back after you called them twice and left a message, when it was THEY that asked you to call them to begin with.

i love my friends to death, but one attitude that really disgusts me is their tendecy to have a blind singular fanatical devotion to one thing, disregarding everything else. reason only suffices if it serves them, and nothing else is correct. and they resort to name-calling if you said something that isnt in their favor.

also when people take up 2 parking spaces, when they could have just easily maneuvered to fit between the lines. i wanna just come over there and key their car, or run a sharp rock across the nice paint job.

when parents let their kids run around the department stores, pulling everything off the shelves and throwing them off the floor. can anyone say slip/trip hazard?

in general, smokers piss me off with their tendency to throw their butts wherever. listen, this world is not your ashtray. no one wants to see your butt laying on the sidewalk or in the gutter. take care of it, you slob!

my current (and ongoing) pet peeve is damn kids with their f*cking scooters tooling down the sidewalk at approximately 5 feet per minute. they weave all over the place, never watch where they're going, and generally create a huge hazard and traffic tieup. yet their stupid, moronic parents seem to think it's such a good idea to have the kid on the scooter. just make the little bastard walk. you're not gaining anything in speed or convenience with the scooter.

Everything on Long Island east of Queens bothers the Hell out of me. There's a lot out there, with diverse and varied environments and characteristics throughout it. And each and every one annoys me in its own unique and individual way.

Oh, and the fact that neither the drivers throughout the Fire or Police departments, nor the ambulance drivers, seem to have learned that the street I live on is narrow, one way, empties out onto an Avenue that is either backed up or running fast, and is itself backed up for most of the block at various times of the day totalling about 30% of daylight hours (and of course when I'm catching up on weekend sleep). They have not learned that they really should choose another block when there's an emergency, because there are many that run parallel to mine that are far less congested.

People who obsess over computer problems...

Support guy: "I fixed your slowness problem by re-installing the service pack. Everything should be OK now"

Obsessive user: "Oh thanks. What caused the problem?"

Support: "Probably a corrupt or overwritten DLL file. The service pack re-writes all the important ones, so it probably replaced a bad one".

Obsessive: "But what causes that?"

Support: "Geez, could be any number of things - software glitch, DLL contention, bad sector on your drive... But anyway it's working now."

Obsessive: "Well, I need to know what caused it so it won't happen again."

Support: "Well, finding the exact cause could take days. Besides it's working again..."

Obsessive: "You may not care about your job, but I care about mine. If there's a chance this error will happen again, I need to know about it so you can take steps to prevent it. I'm talking to your boss about this."

Support: :splat:

And:

Obsessive: "I've got a major spam problem here, and it's affecting my productivity. You guys need to get on the ball and take care of it."

Support: "Well, we have a pretty good filter in place here, so I'm surprised you're getting so much... about how many unsolicited messages have you gotten?"

Obsessive: "Two last week, and three so far this week! I never used to get this much!"

Support: "Three spam messages are affecting your productivity?"

Obsessive: "Yes! Can't you go through my mail and remove them all before you send the mail on to me?"

Support: :neartears

I also cannot stand smokers who think they have the right to pollute the air that everyone uses. I do like the fact that smoking is being to be banned in ALL public places around the country. I can't stand the infestation of marketing on the internet. I'm talking pop ups, embedded flash ads, spyware, pop unders, spam email someone else signed me up for, etc.

I absolutely can't stand rush hour traffic, especially when side road lights are timed exactly wrong so you stop at every friggin one of them.

I despise people like me who complain about EVERYTHING. (At least I'll admit to it.)

One more: People who are total assh0les when they think nobody's going to see or figure out who they are. This happens usually when they're either behind the wheel and/or drunk. A good example is a line-cutter. Please don't let me carry a firearm cause I hate this habit the most.

a friend of mine always goes to File->Open and then types in the URL of the website into that and then presses "ok" to load it.
This irritates me beyond belief. He doesn't even use the shortcut keys to get there...he takes the mouse all the way up to file, then to open, then instead of pressing enter to proceed to the website, he uses the mouse to press the "ok" button.
