View Full Version : Does the ConsumerInfo Free Credit Report show up ON your Credit Report?
On the Deals page where we can get our credit report for free, does pulling that report show up on our credit report?
I'm tempted to take it, but I don't want it to show that I'm pulling up my report and have it count against my record.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. :)

i don't think so. i have a free credit report from some other site....and i've done the free credit report from here. I'm not seeing the credit report from here.... (although that was like 3 years ago)

Requesting your own credit report does not show up / otherwise influence your credit report.

I did it last year and it did not show up.

Checking your own credit report is considered a soft inquiry, therefore it does not show up.
Only hard inquiries--where you are actually seeking credit--are tallied.

where's the link for a free one?
sorry i haven't been around...
I've never done this.. what do i need or do to see my credit report?
Thanks for the info. I tried to do the consumer report one on the deals page, but it seems that I pulled one in the past (even though it was like two years ago!).
Anyway, I did a search and found a couple other ones for free. Turns out I'm doin' alright!
Check the link for the three free credit reports in Got|Deals. :)
