For my first college graduation, my school has Bob Newhart. He was quite funny and enlightening. For my second graduation (Masters), we got the then Secretary of Defense who I cannot remember for the life of me. We did have a nice flyby of F-18s though. :)

I chose not to walk, so I don't remember who it was. I think that it may have been the sheriff of Orange County. The "coolest" one before that was a couple of years before that when my school gave Nic Cage an honorary doctorate of the arts. That always bothered me.

a) My school doesn't award real doctorates, so why should it give out honorary ones?
b) Nic Cage? Have you seen Con Air? I mean, he's a cool actor, but Nic Cage?

Otherwise cool though, I was in the color guard and was the lead, so I was right behind him in line. He's pretty friggin' tall. Or at least relative to me he seemed that way.
