Bro, I feel your pain. I got downgrade from DSL to 56k and it's a pain on the neck. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif
My friend who lives at Newport Beach has Pac Bell cable modem. The fastest speed he gets is 41MB/sec! It's madness fast!

Oh yeah, I've got the fastest net connection of you all:
22.4 Kbps
2.8 K bytes/sec
Geez...My phone company (USWest) sucks so much I can't even get anything over a 26.4 connection...

hehe... dodo90024. Please tell me you are joking. 41MB/sec? Is that a Fiber Optic Cable modem? heh.. Cable modems use a 10Mb ethernet connection, therefore you can't have more than 1.25MB/sec running through there. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif
I get MAX.. 250KB/sec download and 45KB/sec upload. Sucks that it's capped, but at least by them doing it this way I will never see a drop in speed. It's the people that don't have capped speeds that complain when there are to many people sharing the network. When the speed is capped it can always be kept that way. The cable company said that when they get to many people on the network they will upgrade to keep the capped speed, and they have upgraded like 2 times already. It was down for like 10 hours while they did it, but most of that time was the middle of the night while I was sleeping (Yes, I do sleep), plus they gave me a discount on my monthly payment to cover the downtime.
The company is Time Warner. Even though the speed is capped, they are never giving less than that.

1062.5 Kbps / 130.2 K bytes/sec... Yay for cable! But with this whole electricity thing in SD, I might not stay on too long anymore... http://smilecwm.tripod.com/net5/whine.gif

Woohoo! I'm on 56K dialup and here's mine: 38.9 Kbps/4.8 K bytes/sec. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

It gets MUCH MUCH faster. I wish it would go this fast.....
http://kickzstuff.homestead.com/files/max.jpg
So, for $40/month you get a 39.85mbps connection. Thats faster than a T3, 35mbps, that costs $30,000/month. Hell @home probably doesnt even have their cable servers running on a connection that fast. I can only wish, wait, and hope...

When playing Counter-Strike I can get as low as a 43ms ping time when playing at Domain of Pain in Texas and I live in North Western Indiana. Ever since I tweaked my registry I am getting some GOOD bandwidth...

That thing is not very accurate. I have gotten 30K/sec then refreshed it and got 1000K/sec.
