So, I found out that one of my co-workers was diagnosed with Hodgkins.

Anyway, she's been feeling sick/tired for the past couple months, but nobody knew what the problem was. Well, we found out today . . . thankfully, they seem to have caught it early and she should be OK . . .

Still, always terribly sad to hear about stuff like this. She's a beautiful girl . . . physically striking and has a fantastic personality . . . she found out her diagnosis last week and immediately cut her hair short since she's going to have to go through chemo. Of course, she didn't tell people why she cut it. It looks great, but we all kind of wondered why she cut her hair so drastically . . .

She's planning on staying at work the whole time . . . at least as long as she is physically capable through the chemo . . . and she's already resolved that the moment she starts losing her hair, she's just shaving it straight off . . . if ya ask me, it takes a pretty tough person to just face such a challenge straight on and not let it to get ya down and affect your life and how you view yourself . . .

I'm sure she'll end up OK . . . unwilling to believe anything different . . . but still hate to hear about stuff like this . . .

Well its good that they caught it relatively early. Hopefully she will respond.

Anyone else think of that Curb your Enthusiasm episode about Hodgkins?

i believe this is one of the more cureable types of cancers so i am very hopeful for her.
i had a co-worker and a college roomie who both came down with Hodgkins and both went through treatment and are now still cancer free.

but no doubt about it, cancer is scary as hell.
