I don't buy a lot on ebay (10 feedback baby! :P) but I search ebay all the time. I don't, however, like to buy things from, say, across the country. I like to buy from the Los Angeles area. Mostly I look at cars (http://pages.ebay.com/ebaymotors/index.html?ssPageName=MOPS5:HMO01) but when I go to search (http://pages.ebay.com/ebaymotors/search/items/search.html) there is no city listing anymore. It used to be right under the Item Status drop down box.

It's messing up my overly broad searches. I like to put in a price I can't afford and look at all the cars, or whatever I want to buy. Damn them.

They have been redoing their site a lot lately. i dont like it. I type in dell and get nothing, i have to know its a key word and other stuff. Definitely not a well thought out refinement. I also buy cars and stuff and i only like to look for local things.
Good call ninja.... Low ebay feedback people unite!!!

it's there....
search options on the left side...
items near me.

now, i wish they had it more regional. as in, not only the ones that are listed from my city, but say....100 miles from my city (which would include DC and Philly)

that has to be the stupidest thing. Why not put those search options on the 'search' pages?!

lame!

In the item sort-by list, you can now sort by geographic distance. It works great when searching for cars.

I don't know. I liked it better, when I could search by the listed geographic area, input my search inclusions AND exclusions all on the search page. I thought it was more streamlined, and it seem to make more sense.

Now I have to put my search terms in, search, and then filter it through the geographic process.

Seems like extra work....

I only see:
items ending first
newly lkisted items
lowest price first
highest price first

oh wait nvm, the advanced search in ebay has it...but the advanced search in ebay motors doesn't.

Yeah I hate that too. When I'm buying stuff now, I look and see how much feedback the seller has left vs. the amount they've received. I try to stay away from people who don't leave feedback.

I still remember when I first got my ebay account you could leave feedback for anybody you wanted - you didn't have to have an auction number. In fact, you didn't even have to have done a transaction with the person. It was a good time to be living in the dorms because everybody gave everybody else good feedback.
