Dear Obby: my clothes smell...

i did laundry a couple days back (i have my own washer/dryer)

and um....i forgot about my last load that i washed, but forgot to dry.

so when i finally remembered this morning, i went to get my clothes, there's a weeeee bit of moldy smell. umm, obviously they need to be rewashed, but is there something i could do to make sure that i DO wash out the smell? or will another run do the trick?

that's not mold...it's mildew. If it's not stained, you may get away with another wash. However, if you've got those lovely green spots, I've never been able to get them out.

I've had it happen before. Washing them again did the trick.

I don't know about them turning green. All of the clothes in there the day that I did that were already green and black.

Wash as usual-on hot if possible-if not hot then the warmest the clothes can stand-make sure to add a box of baking soda to the wash water-if worse comes to worse..buy a small bottle of listerine and dump that in-TRUST ME IT WORKS. (and if you use the SMALL SIZE you don't get that listerine smell to your clothes.
