Bah! I want my video card :( They keep changing the dates they're gonna ship it. Why the hell do companies not get their merchandise to retail in time. It's so ****ing annoying.
Well Best Buy completely dropped the ball on my 6800 order. They said it'd ship by the 6th then it'd ship by the 13th and now it's backordered and has no ETA. What's worse is they won't even let me cancel it because I put it under my mom's name in order to take advatange of her reward's program. They'll let me BUY something iwth her card but not cancel it...stupid.
I went ahead and ordered it at compuplus.com Doesn't seem like the most reliable e-tailer but other people said they ordered it there and received it promptly. ~30 minutes after my order I get this:
Your credit card has been charged for a total amount of $449.95. Your order will be shipped promptly. Your tracking number will be emailed to you upon order shipment.
This is the way business should be done. Anyone able to get their hands on a Geforce 6800GT or Ultra? If so, where?
I've personally learned to never trust Best Buy. I have had too many problems with them to appreciate the way they do business anymore.
The best part was the 4 people I talked to on the phone were like: "Oh yes sir, it'll be shipping on the 6th" (because that's what the website still says). I kept hanging up on them and calilng back only to get a dumber rep. They were totally confused when I mentioned to them that it was the 14th already.
I really hate bashing on companies but it's so frustrating when they lie to you and you're really trying to get something from them.
Oh my god! This just got worse! I cancelled my BB order and overnighted the card from compuplus.com. Their services was amazing. I ordered at 1 pm and they still managed to get it out that day for overnight shipping. I got the card today instaleld it and ......it doesn't ****ING WORK!$)$#*$!)$*!#*$#!*!$#*@#*!#*!#!$#)*!)*!$*!! God it's frustrating to have spent $450 on nothing. I now have to pay to ship it back for RMA and wait at least another week or so before I get a card :angry: :angry: :angry:

Is that like a bad luck year? If so I probably was man. 1982, was that it? I am the most unluckiest guy I know. Least I don't let it get me down :)
1982 here too man, and i've had the same issues as you.
If you received a bad card, they shouldn't be asking that you pay for it to be shipped back, especially since you originally paid for it to be overnighted.
