View Full Version : So my wife and I went to the doctor...

She's been weak and sleeping a lot lately. They suspected it may be a growth of some kind in her lower abdominal region and wanted to take a closer look. You can imagine my stress and anxiety as the doctor is examining her. Sigh... well as suspected it is a growth and it's been getting bigger lately. She'll be back for monthly examinations for a while.
Doesn't seem like they'll be any solution in the near term. Pray that I'll get some rest and strength to take care of the 2 kids while she's going through this ordeal.
If you are not too grossed out by pictures you can see what I saw at the visit.

Oooh, for some reason I was thinking you had girls. But that's faither isn't it? heh sorry ;)
The best way to get rid of a growth it to remove it from the body.
Here (http://www.planned.org/site/PageServer?pagename=HS_cliniclocationshours) is where you could go to help with that

either way... a healthy baby is what I want.
Actually I'm relieved... I had a dream it was twin girls. I was really stressed going into the ultrasound

I suggest leaving the growth there as long as possible. We had my wife's growth removed after 9 months, and sometime we wish we could put it back in... (usually around 2 AM...)

You wish for a girl now, but when she is 10 and has more shoes than mom and dad both, and your are worried about puberty and the boy next door, you will wish then for a boy now :D

that's what big brothers are for. :) My oldest is supposed to be about 6'2" according to the docs... by the way how accurate are those predictions?
Congratulations! Looks like that bigger house will be useful in a year :)

Right on the money!
Audie is 10 going on 16. She loves her shoes and her clothing, her music (I was even a good mom and took her to see Aaron Carter :dead: ) and she likes the boys. Her boyfriend actually moved away in June -- military so it happens -- but left her with email and a cell phone number (his mom's not his). Oh and speaking of cell phones, she has been asking for one for over a year now -- "and it has to flip, mom!"
As for Puberty, she gets moody once a month or so ( I began to kinda sorta measure time inbetween just for my sanity) and she is developing. Scary, but manageable.
Don't let me scare you from a girl though. I wouldn't change my Audie-girl in anyway. We have been through a lot together.
But on the other hand, Mikey and Patrick don't care about shoes. :)

10-15 years ago, all boys (including me - though i never got them) were screaming about air jordans..... i guess they're not into basketball?

No, they aren't. Mikey would rather play golf or soccer. But as long as he has a pair of those tan work/hiking boots, he is fine. He wears those with shorts (If I let him out of the house!)
And Patrick, well, he has a pair of weeboks sandles that he wears
:P
