I currently have my first car kept in storage. It's an 86 Camaro V6 F-body. I know that the V6 F-body Camaros lack the room for bigger engines as the V8 F-bodys do, but IMHO the V6 F-body is superior to the V8s version of 86. I was thinking of rebuilding the car (when I start a career and really earn the money to do so) and replace the engine, but I'm uncertain what block size engine will fit into it. Does anyone have any advice? It's a 5 speed manual with a kick arse after market gear ratio that can even make the car lift with the stock V6.

first off: all camaro's are f bodies. it's redundant. say one or the other.

i'd like to know why you think the v6 is superior ...

a small block v-8 will fit in there. you've got the same subframe mounts. i don't know about the v6's because i frankly don't give a damn about them. but when i get home i'll look it up & give you which block chevy used in that year & the displacement.

i'd drop a 350 in there tho ...
