Is it to the point, cute, funny? Is it a recording from some other source?

I don't have an answering machine, so this does not apply for me.

cellphone: "Hi this is ****** - leave your name and phone number and i'll get back with you."

it used to be "Hey leave a message"......... but it was so short, people sometimes missed it and never would hear the beep and then never left a message... that and i had a hard time hitting the number "9" on my phone while it was playing back so i could check my voicemail.

Mine used to be recorded. One was Justin Timberlake saying "the cosmogirl you're trying to reach is not available, but if you leave your name and #, she might call you back, if you're cool." now it's my voice saying, "i AM at my phone, but i'm screening my calls. leave a message and depending on who you are, i might get back to you"

It's me saying Memoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo in a high pitched voice and that's it. Not the best for interview call backs but if they don't have a sense of humor, screw em.

Hi, you've reached 410-XXX-XXXX. Nobody's home at the moment, but if you leave your name and number, someone will get right back to you.

BEEEEPP

I'm thinking about changing it to..
Hi, you've reached 410-XXX-XXX. If you know our cell phone numbers, call us there. If not, good luck trying to reach us.

Generic. Although I used to have Andrew Dice Clay singing "I'll be coming back, in an hour, BACK! GET IT!?! I'll be calling you back, in an hour, BACK! GET IT??"

People used to call back to listen to that message all the time although it didn't make too much sense. :D

"Believe it or not AlpineJay isn't at home. Please leave a message after the beep! I must be out or I'd pick up the phone - where could I be? Believe it or not I'm not home~"That's only good if you use the Costanza sound byte and your name is actually George.

On my voice mail, it's me playing the begining of Toccata and Fuge in Dminor by Bach on my electric guitar, and saying if you leave a message I'll get right bach to you.

Back when 'beepers' were out I found out my one friend's code and I'd always change her outgoing message, blasting some '90s dance group like Snap or Cece Peniston and be like, "hey I'm at the C&C Music Factory concert, call back later!" Lucky for me and the people that would call and die laughing, she kept forgetting to change the passcode. :hihi:

Don't be! All I need in life is one friend and a beeper. They're interchangeable.

Edit: Forget the one friend. Vibrate rocks :D

"Hey this is Mike, i'm not here right now so leave a message and i'll get back to you"

pretty generic, but i have had the same cell number for 5 years so it has just stuck there, can't really think of much else to say. Gotta use it for interviews and stuff so it can't be to screwy.
