1996 Geo Prism (Who Makes It)

Ok I have a stupid friend. He just bought a 1996 Geo Prism. He (and myself) is wondering he makes it. Is it Toyota or Chevy? When you look at the Geo Logo on the front of the car it has the chevy logo inside of it. When you check around the engine it has some parts marked toyota (all origional).

So anyone know? Oh and I call my friend for one reason. Even though we both don't know who makes it....at least I wasn't the one that spent $7000 on it....hehe

They make those cars in Fremont, CA. Right off Hwy 880 or 680. Both the Prizm and the Corolla are made the same plant. If you're wondering how I know this, I used to live in Cupertino, home of Apple Computers. Cupertino is only about twenty minute drive from Fremont.
