So my phone plan terminated with AT&T in March, and I finally came around to ordering another plan and finding another phone to replace my current nokia dinosaur. I call up AT&T and tell them about all these other phone companies that are offering plans that are better than theirs (I mean...cingular merged with them and they are offering better plans. What makes AT&T customers stay anyway? T-mobile offers an insane amt of mins too!). I started negotiating with them and my annoying voice finally got to them...hehe...so they gave me a national plan for $40/month, 1000 anytime mins, unlimited nights/weekends, free mobile to mobile, free roaming in US and to big cities in canada and mexico, a free samsung phone, free incoming text, and I made them agree that once cingular and AT&T solidified their merge, they would consider rollover mins for me. I am not sure if I got an awesome deal, but it was the best one offered to me, so I am happy. :) If there's a better deal, this is only a one yr contract so it's all good.
The next day, I helped me friend talk to the rep and got him a $30 plan with 750 anytime, unlimited nights/weekends...etc... so I guess it's worth it to call in the next time I need to renew or look for a phone plan!
