Seems more like a softer side post to me. From a purely analytical standpoing (since I dont prefer guys either) I think that short hair is generally better. Then again, you didnt define what short vs. long was. If it was the 3/4 the way down my back that I used to wear my hair....thats long. If its a prince valiant thats long. If its just a few inches in length, thats generally short.

I think most women will agree that you have to be fairly attractive already to pull off long hair. If a joe shmug guy like me did it, I'd look greasy.

I seem to get more attention (and even a compliment once!) from the ladies when I have a full head of hair than when I cut it. At its very longest, I let my hair get to be about as long as the Beatles' in the early to mid 60s. Just long enough to look a little moppy and cover the back of my neck down to my collar, but not yet a mullet or ponytail. At its shortest, I shave the sides and back, trim the top, and blend it.

Narcissus' view: I like my hair long, but it looks more modelish than professional, and since I'm 99% sure my career will be in engineering and not modeling, I gotta keep it short :(

My hair doesn't look good long. It's very thin and tends to break the longer it gets, so I try to keep it generally short - the way Mrs. Kevster likes it.

What i like really depends on the texture and/or shape of their head. For instance buzz/real short cuts look awkward on a guy with an egg or big head. Wavy hair on a guy is my favorite, and I haaaate when one with nice waves chops it all off for a freakin buzz cut, so longer in that case.

Then again, if their hair tends to be oily or something, they gotta go short. I had a crush on this guy a while back whose hair was halfway down his back; looked straight out of the '80s. I just love me some nice hair in any case :D (on top of the head, i mean. ew)

Hehe i lost 5 pounds yesterday... Went from the big fro, to the little buzz job... Apparently females have this thing about coming up and asking to rub short hair. Is it really that fun of a feeling? But yes, i feel much better in so cal with 1/6th of an inch of hair instead of a few inches...

Yup, I think girls views depend on the guy, I have had both, just cut it about a week or two ago from long for a guy(down to my mouth), to short.

My gf hated the long hair...
