SS: Stubbing your toe

I was in a rush to answer my cell phone and my foot slammed in to a table leg. The only part of my body that hit it hard was the middle toe of my right foot. It turned all freaking purple and it looks like it wants to explode. It hurts like a freaking mofo.

That's an easy way to break a toe. Let me save you some $$ and tell you all that a doctor would do for you (besides charging you more $$ for an xray). Just tape the broken toe to the toe next to it (put a thin bit of cotton or gauze between the two toes. Keep them taped together (with occasional tape changes) for 4 weeks or so.

That will be $65. Please pay the receptionist on the way out.

my big toe got all purple when i kicked the exit door of a discount store close by cuz of their stupid exit greeter. i hate them.

that was about 8 weeks ago. the nail just the other day finally fell off. actually i forcibly pulled it off.

yep - i kicked the door so damn hard that not only did i almost smash the glass, but i injured my left big toe. couldnt walk straight for a week. i know its stupid, but it came out of something stupid. like forrest said, "stupid is as stupid does".

well, the good news is that its all healed, and there is a new growing nail under the the one that died. its gonna take a few months to grow back...

Virtually the same thing happened to me this weekend as well.... while I was cleaning my aquariums Friday evening...

I stubbed the middle toe on my right foot right into the leg of one of my chairs.... OWWWW OWWW OWWWEEEEEE!!!! :eye:

Even though I know that it isn't broken... it sure felt bad enough like it was broken. Fortunately mine didn't change colors but it did ache immensely all day yesterday and today.

I was just going up the steps to my apartment and my sandal slipped, my big toenail jammed down into the step as I was putting my foot down with my weight.


Now I have blood all over my toe and all underneath the nail. I am sure the whole thing will fall off sometime late this week.

I didn't break it... it's starting to become less purple now and the swelling has gone down a bit.
