Does anyone know who makes these cameras...?
Or had any experience with them...?
The price sounds pretty good... And I've had my Nikon 770 for a little to long now... ;-)
Thanks in advance...

I checked epinions... And it looks just so so....
I have tried last year's version of these cameras and back then they sucked. The one I had claimed to be 5MP, but the picture didn't look all that great compared to my buddy's Nikon 885 which is 3MP. I ended up returning the Gateway and picked up a Nikon 3100 and couldn't be happier with it. I am not an expert on cameras, but these Gateway cameras have to use the cheapest possible parts they could find. Do yourself the favor and sped a little more money for a Nikon or Cannon and you will be happy. BTW I picked up my Nikon from Newegg(which is an authorized Nikon dealer) for $30 more than what the Gateway cost me back then.

This deal is a few days old now, but the information is still pertinent. The 5MP camera is actually a rebranded Toshiba. Neither the Gateway nor the Toshiba received high reviews anywhere, and lacked especially in image quality.
You can read the reviews of the Gateway as well as the original Toshiba here:
I personally just shelled out $280 at Amazon for a Canon PowerShot A80. 4MP with rave reviews on just about every feature, including image quality. :)
