/me thinks rhetorically that question as i look at the number of people i have on my AIM buddy list.
theres quite a lot, though i speak with only a handful at the most.
i have at least spoken to each of these people maybe once in my online life, and some stay, some go, some return and i remember them, and some return and i forget where i met them from. i forgot their name to begin with! im a little shy and feel awkward saying hello again, so i just keep the names on.
ive come to accept that i am bad with names, but i almost never forget a face. probably why i forget the real names of some of the people on my list.
plus im too lazy to clean out those i dont remember or dont talk to much anymore. maybe im a sentimentalist at heart - i like to keep ties with people, especially friends, long-time or once-in-a-blue-moon, even people i dont know anymore or speak to anymore. maybe cuz i think in the end, memories are all we have left, and i cherish them as treasures. having said that, if my memory goes, i guess ill be very poor, no?
just thinkin outloud...
