When did Office Max take the fun out of Deals?

I tried both online and phone order ...

I want a Brother HL-1440 Laser printer which is about $150 and has a $20 rebate. I told the CSR that I wanted to use a phone coupon code for $30 off $150. She said I couldn't use a code with any product that has a rebate. GRRRRRR!

Office Depot got my money instead.

You should've held off and gotten the new entry-level HP laserjet. That comes in at 149 at stores.

I got a Samsung ML-1740 for $90 AR :D

I don't know how coupon works when you call but I had no problem using the in-store-coupon with AR items.
