Is there a way I can create a Norton Ghost boot CD? I just got my lappy, but I don't have an A: drive, so I want to use the CD-ROM drive to boot up and "ghost" the harddrive.

TIA

Yes but you need a CD burner for that.

I have a burner. When I start-up Norton Ghost to create a bootable disk, there's no option to select the CD-ROM drive. Can I create it on a floppy and then just burn all the files to a CD?

Which version of Norton Ghost are you using?

If you are using Norton Ghost 2003, in the Ghost Utilities/Norton Ghost Boot Wizard there is an option called CD/DVD Startup Disk with Ghost.... that is the one you should be using to create a CD boot disk.

Well look on the bright side... you now have a "previous version" to use towards the "upgrader $30 rebate" :wow: :D

Outpost.com has Norton Ghost 2003 for free after a 70 dollar rebate. It will do what you want in this 2003 version. I might pick it up myself.
