Currently I'm taking a Multi, a 60% calcium plus D, and Glucosamine/Chondrotin/MSM. They seem to help, but sometimes I wonder if they're worth the $.

I take a general multivitamin and Cosamin DS (Glucosamine/Chondroitin/Vitamin C combination). They're both worth it as far as I'm concerned.

None, but there was this cool pill that I wanted to try. It's like a supermultivitamin of vegetable extracts that gives you everything: Amino acids, antioxidants, beneficial bacteria, etc. It was really cool but you had to take like 3 pills before every meal to get like 100% since it all came from food. It promised to improve your quality of life.

At least once a week, I have a couple of slices of greasy pizza from Jet's.

I guess that's more like a supplement than a vitamin...

I take Glucosamine/Chondrotin, which has helped greatly with my joints, and reduced a lot of my pain. MSM I skip - there is no clinical trials supporting it like there are with Glucosamine/Chondrotin, and some evidence that it might actually be a bad thing to take. So if you want to reduce cost, by a pill with only Glucosamine/Chondrotin. Also, once you've been taking it for a month or so, you can usually just settle on one dose a day to maintain. Which is good, because the damn things are horse pills.

i USED to take multi-vitamins regularly (centrum). i noticed that in the afternoons, i get more energy if i took one in the morning. i dont anymore (just never got another bottle).

though these days id like to simply take what i need (vitamin C, lots of it, something for my eyes, something for my brain, and calcium for my bones).

of course, it would help more if i ate right, and actually exercised regularly too.

I take the Von's Centrum knockoff. I have been sick once in the last three years.

My trainer recommends One-A-Day 50-plus for all his clients, regardless of their age. Taking it makes me feel all growed up.

I also take a C supplement occasionally.

I read an article in a health magazine that referred to the high-end multivitamins (like GNC Mega-Men) as "expensive urine."

From what I've heard and read, your body can't efficiently absorb nutrients in any vitamin form. Generally, you'll see 50% of any vitamins you take in the form of really yellow...errr..urine.

Really? No viable stuff for MSM? Hmmm...
