Inspiron 8600 deal

I was looking at getting the inspiron 8600 since it's through dell's small business do they charge tax? I live in Los Angeles.

Yes, but they do at dell home now also, so either way you'll be taxed.

I bought my 8600 a month ago not from SB but home business. I spoke to Dell abt taxes but I'm not sure if the rule has changed since my purchase. This is what I got from them when I raised this question - if there is direct DELL representation in your area, i.e, Dell sales Kiosks in malls etc., then you would be charged tax. If you don't have any Dell rep in your area and all you've is online viewing then they don't charge you tax.

Disclaimer: I'm not sure if their policies have changed in the last month or so. I recommend checking with their finance dept before moving further.

DellSB collects sales tax from every states that has em.

Dell Home collects sales tax from Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Nevada, North Carolina, Idaho, Virginia, Missouri, Florida, Mississippi, and California.
