Semi-Final Heat Assignments

Due to a server hiccup Heat 8 members experienced a server overflow and were booted. As a result of this as stated in our rules it was our fault so all those who logged into that heat and were therefore booted will be advanced to the next round. Alright Here is the list folks. First things first... You must log in with the user name listed here or you will be booted. The matches start promptly at the time stated.
You will be receiving an e-mail either tonight or early tomorrow that will have the server IP and your password that you must enter to play. Here is how you will have to go about entering your password in Quake III in case you don't know:
)k, once you are in Q3A press the ~ key to get to the console, then type /password xxxx where xxxx is the password. Then join a multiplayer server specifying the IP address you received as the server address.
If the server says its full, that just means that you entered the password incorrectly. Additinally everyone MUST have the point release installed because we will be running a pure server.

Each of the semi-final Heats will be 50 frags or 25 minutes which ever comes first. There is a 15minute interval between matches for server maintenance and to allow everyone to login.
As you can see the PST listed next to the time right next to the HEAT. Many didn't notice this LOL

Thank goodness I just got myself grounded from the computer Monday through Fridays. So as long as this tournament remains on the weekends I'm safe. Damn it.

Congrats to all those who made it! Although I have to say that it isnt fair to those of us who made it to this round by fighting in quake3. I think the Heat 8 players (I think thats the right heat) should have had a time set tomorrow or something to find out which 2 of them advances....not all of them. Oh well. I will still have fun. Prize or not I just like playing quake3. Although CTF is more my flavor. Hey maybe you guys could do a Q3CTF tourney in the future and off prizes to the team who wins it overall. And then take the rank on the team and use that as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. That would be very fun.

Actually CoolJoe, I was in Heat 8 and there were only about 2 of us in there. Well, before I got lagged there were 3 of us. But a couple of the people that got advanced dropped out early before the big lag spike. Plus we did actually fight for quite a while before being booted. I was 33 frags into the match. So it's not like we're getting some free advance without fighting.

Well then the top 2 scorers should have advanced or a rematched should have occured, but not a total advancement. I lost the first heat of the semifinals (or quarter as the gotapex ppl put it). Not to any heat 8 ppl (that I know of), but it still really isnt that fair. Like I said in another post, I had 3 interrupted connections and still kept playing without complaining (there WAS only 2 of us, but I just said I had a bit of trouble). I was even 3 kills down.
