streaming video/audio download

is there a way that i can download streaming video on to my hdd? i don't actually need the video portion but the audio that comes out in it. is there a software that i can download that can do this? thanks for your help.

Snag It can capture video and audio (though I'm not sure if it's audio in or audio out.)

Streaming audio in Windows (I'm assuming you're using win) is played on the wave channel. Just open up Play Control (double click on the lil speaker in the taskbar), options, properties, click the recording radio button and put a check in the wave box and remove all other checks. Now while the audio is playing you can record it using MS sound recorder.
