Let chicken cutlets sit in a bowl of Wishbone Italian Dressing.
Throw (or place gently for easier cleanup) chicken on a hot BBQ grill.
Cut into thickest piece to see when done.
Eat!
or...you can turn it into a wrap I used to get all the time.
PLace chicken in tortilla wrap with fresh mozerella and a slice of proschute (sp? I think its italian ham) and grilled red peppers (if they get along with your tummy).

Italian dressing isn't really a "healthy" marinade, unless you're going with fat free Italian.
I'm getting to be a pro making my own marinades. Frank's Red Hot is a great base to start with. Mmmmmmm.

Franks Red Hot is good on everything. Much like Tabasco, goes on everything. I'm supposed to be having chicken tonight, maybe i'll use this instead.

I would never use wishbone on steak-doesn't it have sugar in it?

I like to let a frozen breast (sliced thin) thaw in Yoshidas, then serve over rice. Yum!

Most store-bought marinades have sugar. Well, they have corn syrup, at least.
We should have a thread where we suggest marinades! I love marinades.

Marinade Number 1-for beef, pork, chicken and lamb (spiedies-chunks of meat marinated and served on Felix Roma Italian Bread)
2 cups OLIVE OIL
1 Cup Vinegar
1/2 Cup Salt
Juice of 1 Whole lemon (fresh)
2nd lemon -sliced
one entire large head of garlic or two if you really really like garlic flavor-minced (OR 4 tablespoons garlic powder)
1/3 cup Oregano
3 bay leaves
1 tablespoon Paprika
1 teaspoon black pepper
mix together in large bowl
cube meats and toss in marinade and let sit for AT LEAST 3 DAYS..grill and serve on italian bread
(I always reserve some of the marinade BEFORE putting meat in it -to drizzle on sandwiches after grilling)
make sure before you cut the meat into cubes you pound it out slightly to bread up the fibrous tissues..it makes it tender.
Marinade Number 2
For Pork, Beef, Chicken
1 cup orange juice
2 teaspoons Garlic powder
1 cup oil
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons nutmeg
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup red wine
marinate for 3 days, then grill or broil and serve over pasta, salad, or noodles.
Marinade number 3-more of a glaze.
(for baked ham)
2 cups DARK BROWN SUGAR
1 Can crushed pinapple (with unsweetened juice)
2 bottles marachino cherries-crushed with juice in blender
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 stick softened BUTTER-not margarine
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 teaspoon ground cloves
beat ALL ingredients together in a bowl-till thick
place smoked/scored ham shank in bowl and turn in mixture till coated..leave in bowl for two days-turning in mix often to keep covered.
on Second day-remove ham from mix, place in cooking pan, decorate with pinapple rings held by cherries with toothpicks in the center of rings-pour remaining marinade over ham while baking at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours-UNCOVERED in the oven.
SO...are you hungry yet?

1/2 cup good quality virgin olive oil
1/4 cup lemon or lime juice
1 packet http://www.kraftfoods.com/goodseasons/images/gs.gif salad dressing mix...
This does not taste like Italian dressing, trust me... Best chicken marinade I ever tried.
Marinate chicken or pork tenderloin in this mixture for a day, then grill.
I make it up in a large ziploc bag and put the chicken or pork in before I leave for work in the morning. Leave it in the fridge all day, and then grill it in the evening when I get home.
Also, when grilling chicken on the gas grill, light one side of the grill and then put the chicken on the COLD side and close the lid. Turn it once at 20-25 minutes, it should be done (boneless breasts, anyway) in 45 minutes to an hour.

My favorite "taco" marinade (for chicken or beef...haven't used other meats with it):
2 cups Frank's Red Hot sauce
2 teaspoons cumin (or more, if you're a big fan like me)
3 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Mix together in bowl or ziploc bag. Cut meat into strips, marinate for at least two hours (the longer you marinate, the better it tastes). Cook on grill or in skillet.
Boil it and then cook it in a pot of home made tomato sauce for a couple hours. sever with pasta.
mmmm so tender!

My question exactly, Jenny.
Here's one for Nickel or Obby:
What's the marinade they use for speedies??

ok smarty. like most men I pee standing up. the odor drifts up as I pee. hence, I smell my pee. of course I flush and run, but asparagus makes your pee smell so strongly you can't get away from it until you flush.
...I don't know if that explanation helped my position or made me sound stupider, but yeah, that's all I have to offer...

Binghampton Speedies? :)
i could look the recipe up online, but i use this as a marinate for pork/chicken:
you gotta mix it well and marinade the the meat in the fridge for a couple of days.
2 cups vegetable or canola oil
1 cup apple cider vinegar
3 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 tsp. poulty seasoning
2 eggs, beaten.
you can brush the marinate on the speedies while they are cooking but don't put anymore on them towards the end due to the egg in it.
