SP2 audio screwing up

Whenever i go to start a song on winamp i get static playing through my speakers, this has only started since my install of sp2. I have a santa cruz turtle beach sound card. I am really not sure what the problem is or how to solve it

i just tried to play a song through a flash thing on a site, and the static kicked up again...any ideas??

Have not had audio problems, but it did screw up my DSL connection for a couple of days after I'd dowloaded it.

Seemed to clear itself after a few reboots though, so not sure where it came from.

Have you tried updating your audio drivers?

there is no update for them :( the newest version is from 2001 :( maybe its time for a newer audio card...
