View Full Version : Fixing a Candle
So i went to light a candle to get rid of the sickly smell in my living room (i've been battling the flu for a week now) and the stupid wick just burnt out all the way to the bottom of the wax. What's the best way for me to get something to burn and melt the wax properly so I don't have to waste a perfectly good candle?

get a small saucepot-heat some water in it-put the candle (in a small glass jar or dish) in the middle of the hot water and let simmer.

Presumably I put the candle in the glass jar/dish upside down (wick facing the bottom of the saucepan)?

well if the wick has a metal thing on it-just pick it out then toss the wax into the jar or bowl or whatever you are using-in the simmering water-
you can even cut the candle (whats left of it) up with a knife and toss the wax pieces in that way.
