Um, that thing got a hemi? (http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2004-09-13-newtruck_x.htm)

Called CXT, for commercial extreme truck, it dwarfs the beefy Hummer H2 sport-utility pickup and even could call the hulking H1 military version "junior."

The CXT is 2 feet taller, 4½ feet longer, twice as heavy and totes more than five times the cargo weight of H2. "You can put the Hummer in back and take it with you," quips Nick Matich, vice president at International Truck and Engine.

It's also about twice the price of H2, about the same as H1. It starts at $93,000, runs $105,000 typically equipped and tops out at $115,000 with DVD player, leather upholstery, tilting dump box and rear-view camera.

I really can't imagine who would buy this, considering how small the bed is, but then I didn't think that people would buy Hummers

I'm sure it's a rather large bed. It just looks dwarfed

Development was relatively cheap because the expensive hardware already is in production, used for International dump trucks, snow plows, concrete mixers and the like. The pickup box is a modified Ford unit. CXT has a commercial-duty diesel engine good for six to 10 miles per gallon of fuel; air brakes like you'd find on a semitractor; an Allison automatic transmission for severe duty; and all-wheel drive is standard.

Dayuuum... 6 to 10 MPG...

Ehhh, relatively it's less than half of what a RAM 1500 gets, but still

Couldn't find any MPG ratings for the 2500

That's still saying alot... my MPG sucks, but 6 MPG is downright HORRIBLE!!!! Especially with diesel..

The Cummins diesel in the Ram 1500 gets like 18 - 20 MPG... but the HEMI just don't do so well :shifty:

You should've gotten the v10 TDI Toureg:
Fuel Economy City: 17mpg
Fuel Economy Highway: 23mpg
Engine displacement: 5.0L
Engine horsepower: 310hp @ 3,750RPM
Engine torque: 553 lb.-ft. @ 2,000RPM

Serious torque and hp for an SUV. I'd LOVE to get one, but don't want to pay to $60K pricetag.

I'd say for the CXT, just get a big Earth symbol on the side, with a large slash through it :)

dang, Apex beat me to posting this. take a look at their website (http://www.internationaldelivers.com/site_layout/severe/cxt.asp). that thing is a monster. that would be sweet to drive for a little bit, but it's nice that they realize that they won't sell a lot of them. they also realize and customer who buys this is an idiot.

"You think about the people who haul big horse trailers, big boats, all that sort of thing. They have big egos, and you can see where that goes," Matich says. "I'll have a camouflage version next year. Hunting and fishing lodges should snap that up."

Honestly, around 11.2 - 11.5... in and around the city.

I haven't had a chance to do major highway since I added the exhaust and intakes to the HEMI... but it's bound to be better than the previous 14.5 to 15 I was getting. :D
