Hi,
I am looking to record an audio stream from the web. It is a live radio station that i am in love with.
It is a Windows Media 9 stream, .asx format.
I have heard that there are some good programs for capturing the stream. Any suggestions? THANKS

Station ripper only handles ShoutCast streams.

Thanks!

Neither of those will record from an ASX stream.
Does anyone know how to record an ASX stream?

I agree that TR will record anything. In the case of DI.FM, they have an mp3 stream available so I would use Winamp with the StreamRipper combo. you won't be disappointed. I have been using the Winamp/SR combo for quite a while with excellent results. A large part of my collection of rips from trance stations have been done with this method.. 160gb+ of music later I am quite happy with the combo.
