is there a way to see who is in line to pick up my domain as it expires?

my domain expires soon. is there a way to see who is in line to pick up my domain as it expires? I heard of services for $20 or so that allow a person to reserve a domain name and automatically pick it up if the owned forgets to renew their domain.

im just looking to see who is in line to pick up my domain, if anyone.

No. There is no "unified" method for reserving domains. If you pay GoDaddy to "reserve" a domain, they are not really reserving it. They are simply going to try and register it as soon as it's available. If someone else uses BrandX registrar to "reserve" the same domain, it's going to go to whoever happens to get it first, which is almost random.

So no, you can't tell who's waiting to reserve it.

Pretty much, just stay on top of your domain registration and you'll never have to worry about it.

Personally, I pay for mine several years out, and GoDaddy also has it so that it will automatically re-register you for the same time period that you inititally set it up at on the credit card # that they have on file for you. Keeps it nice and easy. :thumb:
